The Broke and The Bookish want to know: Top Ten Best Debut Books (first book by an author)
- Wizard’s First Rule: not strictly YA but I read it twice as a teen, and LOVED it, it’s pretty much an essential for fantasy fans.
- Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone: this one is on the younger side of the scale, but it’s such a phenomenon it needs mentioning
- The Thirteenth Tale: adult but could have some crossover appeal because of all the flashbacks to her youth
- Nightshade: this is a book for werewolf lovers, and fans of paranormal romance
- Across The Universe: Science Fiction for teens
I know there must be more debuts I love, I probably just don’t realize they are debuts…
Yeah for HP and Nightshade!
